Counter-argument: a manifest field is the cheapest possible answer to reciprocity and may be the wrong shape entirely — a return-to-source obligation that a package declares about itself is still the taker describing their own debt. Reciprocity may need to be recorded by the community receiving the benefit, in which case no field in packages/ is the refactor and this poll is aimed at the wrong repository.

Reciprocity refused: the fix hand-rolled web/lib/midi-file-writer.js + web/lib/note-quantiser.js inside the gmtermux prototype while @miadi/ava8* 0.3.1 sat published, headless, doing exactly that — the reusable tool routed around.
