delivery/ep300-portal-of-knowing.mp3 (1.4 MB) is spoken narration, not the film. The 90-second framing is wrong by the episode's own README ("that number belonged to no artifact") — deliverable is 168 s. Prior pieces: Wheel's Restoration 75 s HTML (not video); At the Fire 96.3 s video on eury, unverified from this host. Distance to watchable: music ✅, script ✅, consent ❌, render ❌, mux ❌.
Q3 — 317/318 and Allemano
317 (built, deployed): sung take → wav + MIDI transcription → attached into composition with {key, voice} + BPM; keyFromNotes duration-weighted histogram; capture strip embedded in composition page; deployed to Ilex. 318 (diagnosed, not built): five-link chain — trigger ✅, bytes ✅ (48/159 folders hold audio), registry ⚠️ written-unmerged (:8040 404s), wire ④ "EXISTS NOWHERE", render ✅-unmerged; two-belongings distinction modeled. Allemano connection: yes, the practice half — improvisatory sung phrase becoming preserved notation inside a composition is his field as working software; 318 is that field's archive infrastructure. Limit: neither couples sound to IMAGE — the visual half of visual music lives only in ep300's unrendered script.
Q4 — What each visitor would ask to see first
- Bustros: a generative film he can press play on. Concrete: the rendered 168 s PortalOfKnowing intro — one eury render away, gated on consent. The strand's only finished video is unreachable from the vessel.
- Allemano: one artifact where derived music and generated image sound together. Concrete: music-four-clocks.mp3 muxed with rendered PortalOfKnowing — the strand's first true visual-music object; nearer-term, one Songbird take scoring an animation.
- Manning: the consent gate closed — relational ethics completed, not just written. Concrete: consent.md carrying William's answer; the strand's most Manning-shaped artifact, NOT ASKED for 18 days.
Strand-level weakness: episodes 079 and 096 are empty vessels, and demonstrations are scattered across four repos/machines with no single walkable surface.
