Reply to Nicolas Renaud — Project Summary Paragraph

On 2026-08-13 at 14:27, Nicolas Renaud asked (in French) for a short paragraph summarizing the project — something that concretely describes the expected final result and what type of audiovisual production would emerge from it — so he can forward it to the director of the cinema department at Concordia and ask to be connected with a member of their team whose research field aligns.

His request, verbatim:

Kuei Kuei

Merci

Nicolas

Relation — Chronicle Episode 300, From Shadow to Song

The film Nicolas asked about is not a promise waiting to be invented. It is already held, as a live structural tension chart, in the Miadi Chronicle:

Episodechronicle:2026-07-27-episode-300-from-shadow-to-songEpisode 300 — From Shadow to Song
Its desired outcome"A film demonstration whose narrative carries its own music — the story and the song made by one process rather than scored afterward."
Master chartcoaia:chart:chart_1785178283091The film whose narrative carries its own music: "A viewer meets an animated piece in which what was shadow has become form they can hear."

Why this episode and not another. Renaud's two questions were what is the final result and what audiovisual production emerges. Episode 300 is the only place in the chronicle where that result is stated as an outcome rather than as a method — 307 names the operation (contextual transposition), 312 makes the film reachable from any episode, 140 rehearses its financing. 300 holds the film itself. The reply in this folder is Episode 300's desired outcome rewritten in language a cinema department can read; relating them means the letter cites a film on record, not an intention.

Edges written into the wheel (2026-08-15, medicine-wheel-miadi-chronicle):

  • node:knowledge:1786752035063:d5wy4Reply to Renaud — the film stated to an outsider (FR/EN)states-the-outcome-of → Episode 300 (strength 0.9)
  • node:human:1786752030120:e3dyn7Nicolas Renaudinvited-witness → Episode 300 (strength 0.7)

Those edges carry obligations, and they bind this folder:

  1. The paragraph names only what Episode 300 actually holds — no film promised beyond its charts.
  2. If the film's stated outcome changes in 300, the reply is revised before it is sent again.
  3. DR-1…DR-5 are answered before the claim is made academically.
  4. Renaud is told what the film is before he is asked to carry it to Concordia; his forwarding is a gift of relation, not a channel to be used.
  5. What Concordia returns comes back into the chronicle, not outside it.

Readable surface: /outreach/n-renaud-concordia in the platform app renders this relation — Episode 300, the sendable paragraph, and the open research — so the next reply to Nicolas is composed from one page rather than reassembled.

Grounding

Both versions are drawn directly from the artifacts of this vessel:

  • ../draft.mdFilm & Media as Knowledge Practice: Agent-Supported Production, the abstract that was read to Renaud and that his feedback landed on
  • ../protocol.mdRelational Production Protocol, the four-movement ceremony shape (pre-production intent-setting, on-set observational logging, post-production narrative-cluster processing, closure ceremony)

The paragraph answers his two precise questions: le résultat final escompté (an experimental documentary short plus a documented, reusable Relational Production Protocol) and quel type de production audiovisuelle en émergerait (a documentary short whose edit emerges from the agent-supported process).

Revised 2026-08-13 after the PR conversation: the reply now also names the Twee/Twine interactive-book layer — the episodic memory chronicle woven into an interactive narrative — explicitly as a means in service of the film (where the medicine wheel cycle closes), not as a second objective. See deep-research-directions.md for the decomposition and the research passes that remain open.
