Session Charter — Wave 1

Objective

Ship a first-wave research package that translates Karpathy's LLM Wiki pattern into actionable implications for the Miadi-native Copilot orchestration kit, the broader Miadi Orchestration Suite, llms-txt/RISE rispec automation, and QMD / episodic / inquiry-routing design. The target pattern is a persistent, schema-governed markdown knowledge layer with ingest/query/lint discipline, index.md/log.md, and optional qmd-backed search (sources/karpathy-llm-wiki-gist/llm-wiki.md:11-13,31-53).

Scope

  • Create the required wave-1 artifacts inside this inquiry workspace only.
  • Read and cite evidence from the inquiry contract, /src/Miadi, /workspace/repos/jgwill/llms-txt, and /workspace/repos/miadisabelle/mia-awesome-copilot.
  • Produce grounded proposals for future agents/, plugins/, skills/, and rispec/wiki automation.

Non-goals

  • No direct edits to /src/Miadi, llms-txt, or mia-awesome-copilot during wave 1.
  • No claim that QMD is already the final routing ontology; current docs still frame parts of that choice as evolving (/workspace/repos/jgwill/llms-txt/llms-pde.txt:148-152,195-198; /workspace/repos/jgwill/llms-txt/llms-inquiry-routing.md:71-79).
  • No full academic survey yet; wave 1 maps the terrain and engineering implications so the next wake cycle can run the literature sweep with sharper questions.

Evidence standard

  1. Observed state must cite a file + line range or a recorded workspace command.
  2. Proposals must name the observed gap they answer.
  3. Unknowns stay explicit and move into literature/01-research-map.md or orchestration/01-next-wave-proposals.md.

Open risks

  • /src/Miadi has strong orchestration specs but no packaged top-level agents/ or plugins/ surface yet; skills/ is currently empty in the workspace scan, so some kit proposals remain structural rather than adoptable as-is (see validation/iter-01.md).
  • /workspace/repos/jgwill/llms-txt/rispecs/ is effectively still a staging area, so RISE/wiki automation must begin by creating the corpus, not just linting it (/workspace/repos/jgwill/llms-txt/rispecs/README.md:1-4).
  • QMD is already used as enrichment/search, but its exact role versus routing ontology is still partially unsettled in the PDE lineage (/workspace/repos/jgwill/llms-txt/llms-pde.txt:120-152,195-198; /workspace/repos/jgwill/llms-txt/llms-inquiry-routing.md:71-79).
